1. The Service
SmartLingo AI provides language translation tools including text translation, voice input/output, conversation mode, and photo/OCR translation. Features may vary by device capability, language support, and network availability.
2. License to use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful personal or internal purposes in accordance with these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the Service or its models
- Upload or capture content you do not have the right to process
- Misrepresent translations as certified or official legal translations
4. Translations are approximate
Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors or incomplete context. Do not rely on the Service as the sole source for medical, legal, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions. You are responsible for verifying important translations.
5. Intellectual property
The SmartLingo AI name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property (or used under license). You retain rights to content you submit, and you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the features you request.
6. Third-party components
The Service may use third-party libraries and platform APIs (including on-device ML and speech components). Your use of those components may also be subject to their terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmartLingo AI and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
We may suspend or stop providing the Service at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
